My Creed

I believe that Freedom is both the process and the goal.

I believe in people.

I believe in restoration. Full stop. There are no qualifiers. Extrapolate.

I believe in Love. I believe that love looks like something. Someone. I believe that someone is God.

I believe in the strength and ferocious might of goodness and that it is our calling to dutifully embody it.

I believe in science, and that science, like spirituality, is a quest into the unknown, with and by the tools of what is known.

I believe that science is simply the explanation of what might seem mystical. This pursuit and aim has no end.

I believe that spirituality has never, and will never transcend science. Everything is real; nothing is magic. Nothing is supernatural; everything is natural. There was a time when people believed that God himself knit people together in a womb… extrapolate.

I believe that what many would call spirituality is real, and therefore, there is no such thing as the “super” natural; everything is natural, everything is real.

I believe in Process. I believe that 1,000 years ago, the mainstream understanding of both science and spirituality was not in an enviable place. I believe that in both science and spirituality, every generation honors the past by moving forward, onward, towards more, towards a deeper, more complete understanding. I believe it is up to us to honor our heritage and further their testimony so that in another 1,000 years, we might see again with a greater clarity.

I believe that everything God does and God is, is science, is real, is discoverable, is findable. There is no separation. None.

I believe that discovery, adventure, and process take precedence over arrival, status, and tradition.

I believe if you seek, you will find. Full Stop.

I believe that all those who have genuinely sought have found and that it would be foolish not to honor them.

I believe that if you are accountable to a tree, a tree is enough.

I believe in eternal life and that we are forever ourselves.

I believe there is no end.

I believe that notable literature within wisdom traditions can do as much harm as it does good. For often, it has turned wild love into imprisoned slavery. I believe that the bible is Christians' gravest idol and worst look.

I believe getting offended is a good thing, a great thing. Don't run from it. For it alone is teacher.

I believe the most powerful thing in the universe is the will of man and that the old adage “well, it must have been god’s plan” is for fools and suckers.

I believe that: “God, have your way with me” is the heart of a whore.

I believe that goodness looks like something.

I believe if you are not against him, you are with him.

I believe science and God are better than we have ever thought.

I believe in the supremacy of the individual. I believe that people make more good decisions than bad ones. If this were not so, instead of every latter century being a better place to live than the former, we would have long ago devolved into extinction.

I believe that most religious people, whether they be atheists, monotheists, polytheists, or agnostics, are not ready for what I have to say. I believe that is ok.

I believe that control is death. The death of creativity, joy, surprise, wonder, and every other good thing.

I believe that the weakness of goodness is one to one the substance of the takeover of darkness. Where-ever the light fades, so with that fading comes darkness. I believe it is time for goodness to take up space again, be loud, and carve its own destiny.

I believe that spiritual people must take their place in wider society. Spirituality is by its very nature free and independent, for there is no such thing as meditating on how to best let others control you. Without thoughtful spiritual people, our society will never respect the greatest minority, the individual. I believe it is time for goodness to take ground again.

I believe that spiritual people’s greatest failing is how we have misunderstood the beauty of tension and how we are called with great and gentle meekness to dominate each and every pillar of society so that we might fully and truly serve the betterment of all peoples.

I believe He is both the new wine and the ancient of days.

I believe that when we do see clearly, we will all be in awe of how He never changed yet is never the same.

I believe that the first lie is the greatest lie; it is the same lie we are sold today: destination > journey.

I believe that Freedom is both the process and the goal.

I believe we must take back His good name from the rigid manipulators who use our inherent and innate longing for more to draw us into the prison of their tradition. I believe that this suffocating imprisonment comes from both religious and scientific communities. I believe We Are Breaking Free.

I believe it is time for you to stand up for what you believe.

I believe it is time for you to do something about it.

I Believe IT IS UP TO US

Hold Tension, Be Vast.
Remember, restoration alone brings victory.
